Dentaflux hydrofluoric acid gel is used to prepare ceramic surfaces for adhesives. The roughness it creates significantly improves the bond between the adhesive or cement (composite) and the ceramic surface. It is useful both in the clinic and in the laboratory. It is particularly useful for metal-free ceramic crowns, porcelain veneers, inlays and onlays, and braces. It works with all types of ceramics except alumina ceramics. Do not use inside the mouth. Always wear suitable protective gloves.
