An essential auxiliary instrument for the precise fabrication of occlusal splints. The parallelometer allows for determining the insertion direction and marking the equatorial line of the teeth. DURAN® splints, in particular, which incorporate a DURASPLINT® LC occlusal plane, should not extend too far beyond the dental equatorial line, as this can lead to cracking of the splint during integration and separation.
